Phuoc Tich ancient village receives over 1.500 tourist arrivals in early 2019

Being the second village recognized as national heritage, Phuoc Tich ancient village is home to Ruong house complex, relic system, halls, pagodas, shrines, Champa cultural relics, etc. Today, Phuoc Tich ancient village (Phong Hoa commune, Phong Dien district) attracts domestic and international visitors.

In early 2019, the Management Board of Art and Architecture Relics in Phuoc Tich ancient village welcomed over 1.500 tourists. In an attempt to attract tourists to Phuoc Tich ancient village, the Management Board cooperated with over 40 travel agencies. Tours and community tours such as “Cook with Phuoc Tich locals”; “Discover heritage village”, “Feel the heritage village”, etc have left good impression on far and near tourists.

As informed, Hue Traditional Craft Festival 2019 to be held from April 26^th to May 3^rd, 2019 will introduce unique products of famous crafts and craft villages in Hue as well as other country-wide localities. Phuoc Tich village pottery will be on display on Hue Traditional Craft Festival 2019. Also, artisans will have a chance not only to show their talents, intellect, and quintessence, but also to introduce unique products to far and near tourists.

Located by O Lau river, Phuoc Tich village is about 45km from Hue city center. At present, there are 117 houses including 24 valuable ancient houses in Phuoc Tich village. Of all, the oldest house was constructed in 1850 while the second oldest village was built in 1870. Road and green tree system in the ancient village creates a unique ecological area. In particular, pottery craft is the typical feature and value of Phuoc Tich ancient village.
